Ohio University recently announced that masks will be recommended during scheduled class and class-related activities on the Athens campus.

On Wednesday, the university released its revised mask policy for fall semester 2022. The new policy is based on Centers of Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 Community levels.

Campuses in high level areas will have masks required during scheduled class and class-related activities in classrooms, laboratories, studios, clinical settings, other learning spaces and the Child Development enter

On campuses in medium-level areas, masks will be recommended. In low areas, masks will be optional.

Masks may still be required at clinical healthcare facilities including Campus Care and COVID-19 testing facilities

Where masks are not required, students, faculty and staff who tests positive or are exposed to COVID-19 must follow masking guidelines outlined in the university protocol, which have been newly updated.
